DAQ Card Guide

System Requirements

Minimum computer requirements to run CROP's DAQ LabView software.

Windows
Memory: At least 32MB, 64MB is recommended.
Hard Drive Space: At least 200MB.
Processor: LabVIEW will run on any processor that supports MS Windows.
Display: Resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels; 16bit color is recommended.

Macintonsh
Memory: At least 32MB, 64MB is recommended.
Hard Drive Space: At least 100MB.
Processor: LabVIEW will run on any Apple processor that runs System 7.6.1 or later.
Display: Resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels; 16bit color is recommended.

LabView and CROP DAQ Software

  1. Download LabView's Run-Time Engine: LVRunTimeEng.exe
  2. Download CROP's Software: crop_daq.zip
  3. Find your school's ID number.
  4. If you wish to modify the software: crop_daq_source.zip (LabView 6.1 users) --or-- crop_daq_source6i.zip (LabView 6i or later users -- not tested)

Software Installation

  1. Install LabView's Run-Time Engine first, by double-clicking LVRunTimeEng.exe in the location where you saved it. Follow the on screen instructions.
  2. Extract the file crop_daq.zip in a convenient location.
  3. Find the "Installer" folder inside the crop_daq folder. Locate the setup.exe file and double-click to begin installation.
  4. Follow the instructions to install the CROP DAQ software.
  5. Now you're all set to go!
