Special intensive 1-week workshop for 2005!

Summer Research Opportunities

for high school teams of students and teachers

The Cosmic R ay Observatory Project

actively participate in a real high energy astroparticle physics experiment

It's time to rebuild the effort at each of our existing member schools, and offer training to the new students attracted to the project!  In just one week we will guide teams in the maintenance and use of theirown detectors, repair or swap out any damaged equipment, and upgrade your DAQcard software.  Sessions will include oscilloscope lessons, DAQcard trouble-shooting, data analysis, and even building rooftop enclosures.

We are preparing to host up to 100 participants for this single week!  This means we will also have room for a few schools NEW to the project!
Each high school may bring 1-2 teachers accompanied by up to 3 students.  As usual each participant will receive a stipend ($70/day for teachers and $47/day for students).  Room and board will be provided for commuting guests by Campus Housing.
